Have you ever have one of those days or even one of those weeks, or perhaps even one of those months where everything seems to be spinning out of control? Do you ever find yourself at the end of the day feeling like you’ve been busy all day, but don’t know what you’ve done? Do you ever look around your home and wonder how things got this way?
Well, it’s been quite a month for me. I helped my older daughter, Tinara, move from one apartment to another and in the process some of her things were moved from our home and others were placed in the basement for storage. Then I helped my younger daughter, Melanie, move home from university for the summer. We set up her old bedroom and also stored some of her things in the basement.
We moved things from one bedroom to another creating a new office/practice for me, piled up boxes in the basement, and tried to remember where everything was. In the midst of this, we had family visiting from overseas, so things got shoved into drawers and closets, just to make the house “presentable” for their visit. And now…. I’m somewhat overwhelmed in dealing with the aftermath of these events.
Sometimes things are turned upside down due to happy events (as all of these were), but sometimes it’s for other reasons. When I left my former husband ten years ago, I went through a similar “mess”. It was difficult enough dealing with the end of a 20-year marriage, let alone the boxes of “stuff” to be sorted and divided.
Can you relate? Have you ever had your home turned upside down and spent hours searching for things that have been moved, but not yet set in your memory?
Even if you’re not in this situation now, it does good to go through your house to spring clean and declutter. So how can I help you with this? As a former Executive Housekeeper with Four Seasons Hotels (I’ll bet you didn’t know that.), I learned a thing or two about spring cleaning, and as a teacher of Feng Shui for Outer Peace, I can share with you a lot of tips and tricks for decluttering.
Are you done with your clutter? Are you ready for more peace in your life? I welcome you to join me and other peace seekers as I lead a FREE Facebook group “30 Days to Reduce Clutter to Regain Peace” starting June 1st. These decluttering projects are always fun to share with a friend, so feel free to ask your friends to join the group as well. Once you join the group, you will be given a link for a FREE thank you gift as well.
I look forward to welcoming you to the group at:
